This universe is a sphere filled with the ray-waves of the planets. Every human body is full of the power of the Panchabhutas. Planetary radiation is the effect that adds and subtracts across the galaxies. Science can determine whether a planet has water or soil, but Sastra can determine what kind of impact each planet has on a life.
Even now the Almanac prints, two years in advance, predictions of where in a country a flood or an earthquake will occur. Modern science cannot match that accuracy — because science relies solely on human power, while spirituality is a miracle discovered by the grace of God.
A person's actions become good when the radiation of favourable planets falls upon him. His actions become evil when adverse radiation reaches him. Even if a planet's impact on an entire country is high, its radiation reaches individual people within that land. Rahu's impact on Thailand, for example, is enormous — which is why so much illegal activity occurs there. Rahu is the graha that gives a second, illegal, criminal or different thought.
No matter how far scientific progress has advanced, we cannot add, subtract, activate or block planetary radiation by scientific means. Only the Siddhas and saints have proved that this can be done through spiritual mantra powers — mantras control light waves through sound waves, and Yantras store and re-radiate that magical sound.
